Introduction:

Ehsaas Kafalat Program is launched by the Government of Pakistan to accommodate the humble and middle-class people of the community. Prime Minister (PM) introduced Ehsaas Kafalat Program (2nd Phase) was initiated on 25^th January 2022. The programme benefited almost 70 Lac Deserving people through the EKP.

The EKP will provide financial assistance to deserving people on a merit-base. The Government has provided several ways to register for the Ehsaas Kafalat program. Ehsaas Programme includes many subcategories depending upon the needs of individuals. The Ehsaas Registration Centers are launched in both district and tehsil levels to assist deserving people.

Brief Review about Ehsaas Kafalat Program 2022:

Ehsaas Kafalat Program was launched to help the people who faced financial issues due to Covid 19. The head of EKP is Federal Minister Dr Sania Nishtar, and she also serves as Special Assistant on Poverty Alleviation and Social Protection of PM of Pakistan. People having any queries can tag her on Twitter and post a tweet regarding their issues.

On 9^th February 2022, she visited Government Boys High School at Ehsas Registration Desk and reviewed the arrangements. She stated that there are 512 Ehsas Program registration desks all over Pakistan that also facilitates the specially-abled.

Audit Objection Categories:

Audit Objections of Ehsaas Program 2022 have two categories that define the eligibility criteria of EKP 2022.

Following are the details about Ehsaas Kafalat Program Audit Objection Categories:

Category I:

This category is specified for families, Land Owners and Tax filers.

Category I eligibility criteria are as follows:

Zakat recipient families are eligible for EKP
After the decision of the Cabinet, Tax-filers are considered eligible
Landowners are also eligible due to no record found in provinces other than Punjab

Category II:

The audit objection for EKP category II defines eligibility criteria for Government Employees, spouses and beneficiaries.

Category II eligibility criteria are as follows:

Government employees and pensioners are not eligible

Note: Only people having low pensions are eligible

Only one person from each family can receive the amount of EKP; two individuals from the same family are not eligible to register
Beneficiaries having low scores online are eligible

EKP for Especially Abled People:

Ehsaas Kafalat Program will also benefit Special people like other categories.

The facilities that specially-abled people will get are as follows:

Special CNIC
A disability certificate
Free registration for the program

Almost 2 million families of specially-abled people will be facilitated under Ehsas Program.

EKP Financial Aid to Women:

Some families were disqualified for EKP already registered for Benazir Income Support Program (BISP). The Current Government has announced to provide financial aid of 12,000 to such people again on 7th February 2022. They are eligible and can get their cash from Ehsaas Registration Centers.

The cash is now available at Ehsaas Help Desk, and the last date to receive it is 28th February 2022. If you cannot receive the cash until the due date, your amount will be returned to the main head. So anyone eligible for BISP can now receive the cash.

How to Get Details about EKP?

EKP web portal is available 24/7 through which eligible people can get information. All you need to do is enter the CNIC No or Form No and other details on the web portal. Phase II of EKP is now started, and cash is being distributed among registered people.

You can also perform biometric verification through the Ehsaas Nadra portal.

Ehsaas Kafalat Centers:

The officials announced that Ehsaas Centers would open at the tehsil level from 1st September 2022. You can get registered by visiting the nearest centre and bringing your CNIC with you.

How to Withdraw Cash of 8171 Ehsaas Kafalat Web Portal?

The methods of cash withdrawal are very flexible and untroubled. You can either go to Ehsaas desk or ATMs of partnered banks to withdraw the cash.

How to Check Eligibility for EKP other than Web Portal?

8171 EKP Nadra Service is also available to check registration details. You will have to send an SMS to 8171, where you will have to enter your CNIC. You will soon receive a reply from the server. There are 4 possible replies that you may get.

The possible replies are as follows:

You are not eligible for EKP
As a Government employee, you are not eligible
Your CNIC is under the process of verification, and the eligibility information will be provided by _____ date
You can collect cash from _____

Which Banks are Partners for EKP?

Habib Bank Limited (HBL) and Allied Bank Limited (ABL) are banking partners through which you can get EKP cash and funds.

Branches for Payment:

The HBL and ABL branches are specified for each district and tehsil level. Bank Alfalah Branches are specified for payments in KP, Gilgit Baltistan (GB) and Azad Jammu Kashmir (AJK). One Window Ehsaas Program Policy:

The One Window EKP policy is approved by PM Imran Khan that includes 7 main features. The main aim to launch this program is to help deserving families.

7 objectives of the program are as follows:

One-Stop-Shop under EKP:

The first essential thing included is the One Stop Shop. It will allow the beneficiaries to get all the information and services of EKP in one place. The first shop is launched at Sitara Market, Islamabad. Soon there will be One Window Centers in every district.

Ehsaas Back Office Integration:

The back-office digital interface will also be integrated for all those who will work with EKP. The information to the employees will be accessible, and they will not have to wait for confirmation from any other department.

Ehsaas Digital Platform:

The one-stop-shop will have all the relevant information that is needed. Not only this, but it will also provide digital services to the people. The beneficiaries do not have to go to the centers. They will access the e-portal simply by easy navigation in these shops.

EKP Mobile App:

The official app of Ehsaas Kafalat Program is available on the Google Play store. It is a limited version, but new features will soon be included in this mobile app.

Assessing the Data of EKP:

The Ehsaas agencies will be able to access the data from the Ehsaas database. The employees will be able to check registration details in real-time. As a result, the potential beneficiaries will soon be verified.

EKP Unified Targeting:

One Window Stop Shop will facilitate the employees to adopt One Window Targeting Policy. It will help in making targeting more effective, evidence-based and predictable.

New Division to Elevate Poverty:

Although the EKP program is fast, several gaps still need to be filled. So, the new strategy will be formed for Social Protection and Poverty Alleviation. It will be functional in almost all districts and aim to help the needy.

Following initiatives are taken for Ehsaas Program by the Government:

Health, Ehsaas and Kisan Cards are monitored by PM Imran Khan
One Window Ehsaas Operations are launched in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Districts
The platform of National Data Exchange was launched on “World Poverty Day”
Ehsaas Koye Bhooka Na Soye (EKPNS) and Ehsaas Nashonuma were announced on “World Food Day”
For elevating poverty and creating social safety, the “Mazdoor Ka Ehsaas” unit was established
“Girls Education and Enterprise Alliance” is also launched by Dr Sania, and Iqra-e-Taleem-o-Aagahi organizes it
Almost 8.46 million families are given cash amounts
For Ehsaas Nahonuma, more than 3000 mothers and children have registered
Almost 90,000 scholarships will be awarded this year
At Tehsil Level, there will be almost 494 desks

Scholarships under EKP:

Under the EKP Scholarship program, deserving students will get a scholarship. The families registered to the 8171 Ehsaas Program may visit the Ehsaas Center nearby.

There are three types of scholarship registrations:

Primary
Secondary
Higher Secondary

The students from age 4 to 22 can get benefits through the scholarship. It is essential to bring the B-form or CNIC and verified admission certificate to the registration desk. At the tehsil level, the families are required to visit Tehsil offices.

Ehsaas Kafalat E-Kacheri:

Ehsaas Kafalat E-Kacheri is also a new initiative where Radio Pakistan and Facebook host the sessions. The queries are answered by the customer care live. You can either comment down the queries on live hosting or dial the numbers to call the customer care representatives.

The numbers of customer care representatives are 0519204865 and 0519206995. You may also make a live call to Dr Sania Nishtar by dialling 051-9246334, and you will get answers to all the questions.

Ehsaas Langar, Darul Ehsas Yateem Khana and Ehsaas Panagah:

Almost 49 Tons of free Ration gift is given to Pakistan by Saudi Arabia for Ehsaas Langar, Darul Ehsas Yateem Khana and Ehsaas Panagah.

Ehsaas Kafalat Payments:

Deputy Commissioners in Balochistan has announced to facilitate the people in remote areas of Balochistan through easy payments. The Ehsaas campsites, point of sales agents, and Bank branches will be increased in sub-Tehsils in Balochistan, including, Sherani, Awaran, Surab, and Kech.

Ehsaas Survey:

Ehsaas Program survey is in process, and it is 85.6% completed all over the country. After this survey, the eligible people will get cash and other benefits.

Ehsaas Nahonuma Centers:

To help the mothers and newborns, EKP has launched a subcategory of the Ehsaas Nahonuma Program. The centers will be in Dera Ismail Khan, Diyamir, and Khanewal.

Ehsaas Program Post Doc Letter:

The families are surveyed, and after that, they are considered eligible for Ehsaas Kafalat. A Post Doc letter is delivered to surveyed families. Under EKP, the deserving families are paid Rs 12,000/- in 2 quarterly instalments. The months are from January to June. After that, the amount will be paid in one-quarter instalment.

How to Resolve Issues of Biometric Problems?

If the deserving people face biometric problems, the issue can be resolved by applying on the portal.

EKP Survey Procedure:

No online link for Ehsas Registration is provided. The registration process is going on through Ehsas Program Registration Desk or Ehsas Survey.

Correction of Data on EKP:

If there are some mistakes in the data, you can easily correct them by visiting the Ehsas Registration Desk and then requesting to edit the errors.

Instructions to Receive Cash through Ehsaas Kafalat Program:

To receive cash, there are proper guidelines that people must follow.

If you have received an SMS about your eligibility and the cash, then follow the step-by-step procedure below:

Must bring your CNIC
Biometric verification is necessary
No one is authorized to deduct the amount, and you will receive the total amount that is mentioned
Don’t forget to get the receipt after receiving the amount
After receiving the amount, you will get a confirmation SMS
In case of any issues, you must urgently call at 0800 26477

NSER Ehsaas Kafalat Program:

National Socio-Economic Registry (NSER) program is an online registration process for identifying deserving families in Pakistan. The first phase included 15 districts. After getting an Ehsaas Kafalat card, you will receive cash of Rs 2000/- every month.

There are almost 375 union councils of almost 33 backward districts in which Ehsaas Emergency Income Program is launched.

Ehsaas Kafalat Program 2022 is working completely on a merit basis. After biometric verification, you will be given the amount of Rs 12,000/-.

8171 SMS Service:

To receive emergency cash through EKP, you will have to send your 13 digit CNIC to 8171. 15 parameters are set to verify the eligibility. If you fall into every requirement, then you will be considered eligible. The three replies that you can get includes decline, waiting for notification related to cash or third one is to contact the district administration office.

Mazdoor ka Ehsaas Program (MKEP):

The two new schemes are also introduced by the Government for laborers and businesses. As the cement price has increased, there will be a relief to the business and construction section. This new scheme is introduced in collaboration with the State Bank of Pakistan.

According to the newly introduced scheme, on 2 million turnovers, laborers and businesses will be provided with capital up to 40%. Mazdoor ka Ehsaas Scheme will grant small businesses relief. Rs.12 000/- will be granted as an emergency cash fund to the following:

Loaders
Painters
Welders
Carpenters
Mechanics
Cleaning staff
Piece rate workers
Contract employees
Construction workers
Self-employed street vendors

Ehsaas Rashan Programme:

To overcome the digital and economic gap, Ehsaas Rashan Program is introduced under EKP. Almost 20 million Pakistanis cannot have healthy food or anything to eat. PM Mr. Imran Khan launched this scheme to help the poor and support them.

Under this program, an Rs.1,000/- subsidy will be granted to 20 million families to buy dried food items each month. 53% of Pakistanis will get benefits through this scheme. In addition, Rs.3,000/- every month will be provided to the deserving.

Ehsaas Kafaalat Program (EKP) Centers and Timings:

Nadra Centers have been set up under EKP by the Government to help the deserving. The timings of these centers are from 8:00 Am to 5:00 Pm. The staff includes employees of the bank, education department and Nadra. Every family is verified biometrically and then is provided with the amount.
